I am not going to lie to you and say that I have it all figured out, because I absolutely do not. Life is ever-evolving; I have simply learned to roll with the punches. I understand that if I am giving my full attention to one facet of my multi-hyphenated self, another is being neglected. For example, as I write this, my son is waiting for me to wipe his bum (BRB).
Regardless of where I am in life, my health and wellness have always been on the back burner. This year, I am changing that. I owe that to myself and to my family. Taking care of myself isn't selfish; it allows me to be the version of myself.
The number one wellness hack for me - and it is completely free - is spending time outdoors. We take daily walks as a family, and it alleviates both mental and physical burdens. The priority is to breathe in the fresh air and vitamin D (straight from the s-u-n). I would like to hit 10,000 steps on said walks but as aforementioned, if I did that, I would have to neglect something else. And as a stay-at-home parent, I am the homeschool teacher, cleaner, chef, etc. I wouldn't call myself a tradwife; my husband contributes to the household just as much as I do.
For my birthday this weekend, I woke up extra early to catch this view, below.
